M1-1P0, is designed to adopt hybrid cables, embedded copper wires for DDC/HDCP interconnection and fibers for graphic data together in a jacket so that it offers the benefits of sturdy metallic and compact size connectors. For the installation with ease, +5V DC power from the graphic card is utilized to drive both of its transmitting and receiving modules so that it doesn't require an external AC/DC power adaptor. For just in case, however, an external power adaptor is optional.
The copper wire connection extends the distance limit up to 100m. The M1-1P0 consists of a transmitter and a receiver, connected by hybrid fiber cable with male DVI-D connectors at each end. The Transmitter and Receiver connectors respectively have Opticis designed and manufactured 850nm VCSEL and PIN-PD arrays.
