The Express M1-100A, as the revised model of the M1-1000 All-Fiber DVI cable, transmits only four (4) channels graphic data of R, G, B, and Clock, without any physical DDC connection and does DDC (Digital Display Channel) interface by programming an EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) into an EEPROM inserted in the transmitter module of M1-100A instead of directly reading it from your connected display. It gives extension up to the limitation of the modal bandwidth of multimode glass fibers, 500 meter (1,640ft).
Except this feature, both products have quite the same feature and benefit as follows;
- Metallic DVI connector with a real compact size, with active opto-electronic components inside and with reliability and easy of being directly plugged to the most of the monitors and PC cards.
- The bandwidth of each graphic channel is 1.65Gbps, transferable WUXGA (1,920x1,200) graphic data at 60Hz refresh rate.
- offers the benefit of electrical separation between graphic sources and display ends without any EMI interference and heat emission.
The transmitting module is designed to use either DC power from graphic card or from the external AC/DC power adaptor shipped together in the shipping group. The receiving module should be supplied by the other AC/DC power adaptor.
The products have been tested in compliance with the limits for a class A digital device, pursuant to part 15 and 2 of FCC and CE. In addition, all components including 8 cores distributed fiber cables are all verified or certified by UL regulation.
